1.
Polyurethane Adhesive contains isocyanate group (--NCO) and carbamate group (--NHCOO--) with strong polarity and chemical activity, and has excellent chemical adhesion with materials containing active hydrogen. However, the hydrogen bond between polyurethane and the bonded material will enhance the internal force of molecules and make the bonding stronger.
2. The proportion and structure of soft segment and hard segment in molecular chain can be controlled by adjusting the formula of
Polyurethane Resin, and adhesives with different hardness and elongation can be made. Its adhesive layer can be adjusted arbitrarily from flexibility to rigidity, so as to meet the bonding of different materials.
3. Polyurethane adhesive can be cured by heating or at room temperature. The bonding process is simple and convenient, and the operability is good.
4. Generally, there is no side reaction when the polyurethane adhesive is cured, so it is not easy to cause defects in the adhesive layer.
5. The polyisocyanate adhesive can be dissolved in almost all organic solvents, and the molecular volume of isocyanate is small and easy to spread, so the polyisocyanate adhesive can penetrate into the adhered material, thus improving the adhesion.
6. The low-temperature and ultra-low-temperature properties of polyurethane adhesives exceed all other types of adhesives. Its adhesive layer can be used at -196℃ (liquid nitrogen temperature) or even -253℃ (liquid hydrogen temperature).
7. Polyurethane adhesive has good wear resistance, water resistance, oil resistance, solvent resistance, chemical resistance, ozone resistance and bacteria resistance.
8. The disadvantage of polyurethane adhesive is that it is easy to hydrolyze at high temperature and high humidity, which reduces the adhesive strength.
