How to use waterborne polyurethane curing agent correctly?
2025,11,20
Waterborne polyurethane curing agent is a hydrophilic polyisocyanate curing agent, usually used in two-component waterborne polyurethane systems. It can effectively improve various physical and chemical properties of two-component waterborne coatings, inks, adhesives, etc., including adhesion, hardness, wear resistance and solvent resistance, etc. Then, how should waterborne polyurethane curing agent be used correctly?
Suggested process for use
1. When preparing a small amount of sample, during the mixing process of the curing agent and waterborne polyurethane, pay attention to stirring slowly and continuously, and stir thoroughly for 2 to 3 minutes. When preparing a large amount of glue or paint, to ensure thorough stirring, mechanical stirring must be used first, and then the curing agent should be added slowly.
2. According to the addition ratio specified in the user manual, strictly control the addition ratio of the curing agent to achieve the best physical and chemical properties.
3. When preparing, prepare as needed and ensure it is used up within a certain period of time to prevent curing. Therefore, it is recommended to use it completely within 4 hours.
Waterborne polyurethane curing and storage
1. Curing agents are generally sensitive to moisture and should be stored in their original sealed containers with a temperature not exceeding 30℃.
2. Contact with skin should be avoided as much as possible as it may cause allergic reactions. If it sticks to the skin, it can be wiped off with clean paper and then rinsed off with clean water.
